GovernmentCIO is looking for a mid-level developer who will be a key player on the development team. The ideal candidate will be an experienced developer that has proven experience setting up and maintaining web-based applications, using a variety of skillsets, a deep understanding of coding principles and practices, JavaScript, GitHub and other repository systems for ASP-based applications. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who enjoys a fast-paced job, thrives on problem solving, and is committed to delivering seamless product availability to large enterprises. We are looking for a mid-level developer who will be a key player on the development team. Responsibilities

• Maintain and upgrade existing systems
• Set up a regression testing suite
• Research, design, implement, and manage software programs
• Test and evaluate new programs
• Identify areas for modification in existing programs and subsequently develop these modifications
• Write and implement efficient code
• Determine operational and performance efficiency
• Develop quality assurance procedures
• Work closely with other developers, db engineers, business and systems analysts
• Collaborate with other developers to bring new features and services into production
• Proactively meet standards for information security and compliance, such as PII and PHI
• Set up and administer repository management system
• Mentor and develop junior Developers in best practices
• Educate and communicate with clients, stakeholders, management, and team members

Qualifications

• Experience using Fortify
• Experience on Jira integration with Code base systems (GitHub, Azure, etc.)
• Experience with the SOLID principles of coding
• Experience with software design patterns
• Experience with general development, Classic ASP, VB.Net, Oracle, Government systems, Threat Modeling, strong documentation, IIS, Com Objects, VMs, API, Data Abstraction, SQL queries, Stored procedures, PL-SQL, and .Net Core is a plus
• An enthusiastic and dynamic developer with great communication skillsAt least 3-5 years of experience building and maintaining web-based applicationsStrong understanding of web-based development coding and security best practicesExperience with Agile methodologies, principles and best practices tracked in Jira workflows
