Here's where you come in:

McKinstry is looking to add a Product Manager to our growing Product Management team. This role will collaborate with our internal finance and accounting teams to gather and prioritize requirements within our ERP system; delivering solutions and enhancing processes. The Product Manager is responsible for managing the product life cycle, including gathering product requirements, developing business cases, and working closely with developers, IT, software engineering, and software vendors. This role is perfect for an experienced accountant who wants to begin a transition into a technology role or a technologist with an interest and experience supporting finance and accounting.

Product Management

The Product Manager will contribute to product roadmaps designed to address business pains and challenges within our current organization. Executing on the roadmap includes:

    Being a subject matter expert for our ERP and related tools and processes

    Working hands-on with the applications, customized reports, and backing SQL data

    Collecting and analyzing product requirements

    Authoring technical specifications

    Developing and executing user acceptance test plans

    Measuring the impact of enhancements and fixes on business outcomes

    Creating and delivering training

Project Management

The Product Manager will ensure proactive management of technology projects and initiatives, partnering closely with internal customers and software developers to prioritize and execute solutions. Ideally, the Product Manager will have previous experience developing project schedules, managing plan execution across teams, and proactively mitigating risks.

What we would like to see from you:

    Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred) in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or related field, or equivalent professional experience

    At least 3 years’ experience within the Accounting or Product Management preferred

    Experience with ERP systems, including Viewpoint (preferred)

    Experience querying data in SQL Server is a plus

    Familiarity with Agile methodology

    Ability to work remotely or in a team environment

    Ability to collaborate with teams with a diversity of backgrounds and interests

    Ability to manage upwards across multiple lines of business
