Position Summary: Provides support to internal end users of DISA’s proprietary and enterprise applications by performing the listed functions and responsibilities. The .Support Specialist will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations and act as the main internal support representative for the Dynamics GP system.

Responsibilities:
  • Provides technical and functional assistance for users of DISA applications by responding to inquiries regarding errors, problems, or requests
  • Support, configure and troubleshoot the existing Dynamics GP system
  • Continued development, extension and enhancement of the Dynamics GP functionality
  • Plan and implement Dynamics GP version upgrade
  • Maintain optimal system availability and proper interfaces to other key systems
  • Responsible for upgrades and module implementations
  • Provide assistance and training to business on new processes and modules
  • Create, modify, and maintain Dynamics GP reports, using SmartList Builder, Crystal Reports, SSRS, ad-hoc SQL queries
  • Manage third party relationships (vendors, VARs)
  • Work closely with Finance and other departments to determine Company needs
  • Perform all system administration tasks related to Dynamics GP, Management Reporter, and other financial systems, including creating and maintaining users, access set-up and entitlements, managing and performing maintenance procedures, and other related tasks
  • Research software solutions to assist accounting management in selection processes and business decisions
  • Track and resolve business/technical software issues in a timely manner
  • Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems
  • Assist customers through email, messaging, phone, and in person
  • Uses the IT Service Management system to review and respond to requests for support
  • Escalates urgent problems requiring more in-depth knowledge to appropriate internal resources or vendors
  • Authors and edits documentation and procedures in the IT Knowledgebase
  • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
• Interacts with end users to understand issues from a business perspective •
  • Works with end users to reproduce reported issues in test environments and reports those issues to the development team or application vendor
  • Monitors performance of applications after implementation
  • Able to communicate status and issues to upper management
  • Applies basic knowledge of company’s core technologies to achieve the listed duties
Qualifications required:
  • 3+ years of Dynamics GP experience including Management Reporter and Integration Manager
  • Exposure to applications and 3rd party ISV software such as Prophix, SmartConnect, Professional Advantage Collections Management, Mekorma MICR, SmartList Builder, Concur Expense, Nolan InterCompany
  • Understanding of Relational Database Management Systems such Microsoft SQL Server
  • Experience with IT Infrastructure such as Windows Server, Citrix, Windows 10, Microsoft Office 365
  • Strong SQL skills authoring queries, creating views and stored procedures
  • Bachelor’s degree, or three years of related job experience supporting software applications, or an associate’s degree with one year of related experience
  • Exposure to software and hardware design principles
  • Understanding of Relational Database Management Systems such Microsoft SQL Server
  • Experience using ServiceNow for IT Service Management is a plus
