To assist the development team in migrating and refactoring its existing SQL databases supporting multiple functions and linked to existing ERP system, Spectrum, to a new server, ensuring the architecture is scalable, the process is efficient, the databases are documented, the data is accurate, and all applications are re-connected to the new dataset and are running as expected.

Key Responsibilities:

The SQL Developer will assist the development team (the Dev team) in developing, testing, improving, and maintaining new and existing databases and reports in a Microsoft SQL Server environment. As part of our Dev team, you will work closely with other developers to ensure system consistency and scalability. Communication and organization skills are keys to success in this position, along with a problem-solution attitude. This role will be hyper-focused on moving and refactoring our existing SQL infrastructure, that supports many in-house applications, to a new server. This project will require big picture understanding and expertise in detailed design and development.

Requirements:

  • Participate in database design and architecture to support in-house application development
  • Help ensure all solutions are flexible and scalable to accommodate future business requirements
  • Create complex functions, scripts, stored procedures and triggers as needed to support in-house development
  • Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing databases
  • Optimize and maintain legacy systems
  • Develop technical documentation
  • Proactively and regularly make recommendations for system improvements
  • Demonstrated knowledge of large, relational databases and data structures.
  • Strong understanding of ETL concepts.
  • Familiarity with Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services integration with SQL.
  • Proficient in standard business and database software including: MS Office, MS Access, and SSMS.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with demonstrated ability to converse with all levels of staff and management.
  • Strong quantitative skills, attention to detail, and a high aptitude for problem solving.

Pay: $22.00 - $55.00 per hour
