As a VP of IT you will be responsible for managing departments and scaling the team to be able to handle the demands of fast-paced growth at SCS. You will oversee the design, implementation and maintenance of IT systems that support SCS globally. You will direct and manage IT plans, schedules, policies and programs for SCS’s data processing, network communications, business operations, computer services and management information systems, according to established goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee continual improvement of internal and customer-facing systems
  • Leading SCS’s teams focused on IT Infrastructure, Business Systems, and IT Security, while working closely with separate IT for marketing and R&D teams
  • Leading the implementation of SalesForce and transition away from FileMaker
  • Overseeing the use, maintenance, and additions to our cloud infrastructure residing in Microsoft Azure
  • Collaborate with SCS R&D to take new product concepts into efficient and scalable implementation
  • Oversee Company-wide data/network security and compliance
  • Oversee and improve internal Help Desk to accommodate rapidly growing SCS employee head count
  • Identifying emerging information technologies and evaluating their potential for use with SCS.
  • Oversee the development of mission-critical applications and technology to support the company’s long-term goals
  • Leading technology planning
  • Drive the implementation of development best practices throughout the organization, while governing control and ensuring objectives are achieved.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of multi-discipline IT experience, including Software, Database (SQL and NoSQL), Authentication/Authorization and relevant application domains as well as infrastructure; with a minimum of 5 years in a technology leadership role
  • Experience managing instances of SCS’s key software tools and environment: Microsoft Office Enterprise, SalesForce, Microsoft Azure
  • Familiarity with potential and limitations of key programming languages: Python, SQL, PHP, HTML, Django, C++
  • Proven success managing multiple high-priority projects simultaneously
  • Proven success analyzing key business issues and identifying the root cause of business challenges.
  • Ability to articulate technology goals and strategy to your team
  • Proven success in mentoring and professional development
  • Business Acumen – ability to understand and strategize IT systems within the context of a for-profit business services company like SCS
  • Strategic Leadership and Execution - Applies vision to think beyond the immediate situation and explores multiple potential paths.

At this time, SCS Global Services is recruiting all open roles to be remote; allowing our employees the ability to work flexibly and allowing SCS as a company to diversify the experience and perspectives of our growing workforce.

Physical Requirements

  • Sit 6+ hours per day. Keyboarding 6+ hours per day. Must be able to speak and listen to employees and vendors in person and on the phone.
