WHO SHOULD APPLY?
Evident Change seeks a researcher to support data analytics reporting. The researcher will assist the analytics team with administrative data processing, study design and hypothesis development, survey development and testing, data collection, data analysis, report writing, literature reviews, and client engagement.
We are seeking a creative, self-motivated critical thinker who can solve problems, especially when the goal is to address complex social challenges for more effective and equitable systems for everyone.
The annualized compensation for this position ranges between $41,000 and $57,000 and depends on experience, qualifications, and work location. You also will have access to a rich benefits portfolio you can customize to fit your needs.
WHAT DOES A TYPICAL WORKWEEK LOOK LIKE?
The researcher will:
- Process and analyze administrative data collected by social service agencies;
- Develop surveys;
- Code and summarize quantitative and qualitative data;
- Conduct statistical analyses and interpret those results;
- Review existing research literature; and
- Support research and evaluation design.
Our team also has the opportunity to work with other colleagues at Evident Change who provide services ranging from coaching and training social services agency staff to developing internet technology solutions such as web applications and other data management services. All of these dynamic projects will focus on reforming social systems to make them more equitable from the inside out.
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS DO YOU NEED?
The researcher will have:
- Interest in working with and improving child welfare, justice, education, and/or adult protective services systems;
- Aptitude for problem solving, critical thinking, and adapting to evolving work;
- Comfort working with a variety of people and perspectives;
- Basic understanding of research methods or data analysis;
- Experience processing and analyzing data using SQL, SPSS, R, Python, ATLAS.ti, Excel, or other statistical packages; and
- Willingness to learn additional data programming techniques and languages.
Additional qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience demonstrating a commitment to learning; and
- Knowledge of social service systems, including lived experience and/or work experience.
