Position: Machine Learning Engineer

Remote

Full-time.

As a machine learning specialist, you will consult on projects across teams bringing new innovations and apply machine learning techniques to a variety of business problems. Using natural language processing and computer vision, you will develop and help innovate solutions to analyze, classify, and detect signatures on business documents. Using anomaly detection and prediction, you will identify when transaction timelines are at risk. You will also create automation to speed or eliminate data input via OCR and named entity recognition.

How You'll Lead

o Perform data analysis and modeling on existing datasets

o Use NLP and ML to improve our understanding of document meaning and data

o Use NER to improve data extraction and form input

o Use algorithms from computer vision to anomaly detection to identify issues with documents and workflows

o Work with product managers, engineers, and designers to create new and enhance existing products

o Gather data from new and existing sources, perform statistical analysis, and report conclusions

o Help identify additional opportunities for product improvement via ML and intelligent automation

o Create scalable, monitored, and supportable ML production pipelines

o Create tools to maintain and support production pipelines and handle exceptions

Skill Requirements

o 3+ years of experience developing and deploying machine learning systems into production

o Experience with NLP, computer vision, or other document processing methods

o Experience working with a variety of relational SQL and NoSQL databases

o Experience with at least one cloud provider solution (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure)

o Experience with C# or Node.JS preferred

o Knowledge of data pipeline and workflow management tools

o Expertise in standard software engineering methodology, e.g. unit testing, test automation, continuous integration, code reviews, design documentation

o University or advanced degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or a related field or commensurate experience
