Amber Engine is a disruptive leader in the e-commerce space. The Quality Assurance (QA) Lead is expected to build a first-in-class service that fuels Amber Engine’s development with a tight feedback loop, and ensures the delivery of high-quality software for Amber Engine’s offerings. You’ll be responsible for analyzing complex problems, building out test plans and test automation, test processes, release management and working in partnership with the customer success, product and development teams to identify improvements to our offerings. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented tech enthusiast with experience shipping great software. You are methodical, a self-starter, meticulous about quality and have a user-oriented mindset.
QA Lead Responsibilities:
Build a user-centric engineering culture that drives improvements in quality
Implement process changes to scale testing efforts as new features and functionality are introduced
Partner with customer success and product team to funnel learnings back to the development team in a consistent and digestible manner to continuously improve offerings
Integrate learnings into structured test strategies and execution
Diagnose issues, report defects, and propose A/B tests to discover reoccurrences
Work with engineers and project leads to triage and prioritize issues for resolution
Own the process of creating metrics to measure and monitor product performance
Frequently identify significant product, organizational, and process opportunities and drive them to fruition often without explicit direction and resourcing
Maximize efficiency in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid
Coordinate releases with development and customer success teams
5+ years experience testing enterprise SaaS applications
2+ years as a QA lead with hands-on experience building out test automation, building out test plans from product requirements, working with customer success or tech support teams, analyzing issues and interpreting findings to help isolate issues and prioritizing issues
Experience going through a full product lifecycle, integrating customer feedback into test plans, driving prioritization and pre/post-launch execution on both a feature and product level
Startup experience preferred
