Position Description

The Scrum Master will be a servant leader for Agile teams, ensuring all Scrum processes are used as intended. The protect the team, remove barriers to successful implementation, and keep the team focused on the task at hand, guiding the team in the development and delivery of application data-centric solutions, using Microsoft technologies. Specific responsbilities include:

Organizes and facilitates project planning, daily stand-up meetings, reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos, and other Scrum-related meetings.
Tracks and communicates team velocity and sprint progress.
Learns quickly and able to write user stories
Expert in process design and working with clients to flush out requirements
Develop and maintain process documentation.
Ensures that the development teams are practicing the core agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability, and visibility.
Assists as needed with backlog maintenance.
Assists with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information.
Assists with prioritization and resolution of defects/bugs.
Assists the team with making appropriate commitments through story selection and task definition.
Participates proactively in developing and maintaining team standards, tools, and best practices.
Identifies and removes impediments and prevents distractions.
Facilitates discussion and conflict resolution.
Empowers the team to self-organize.
Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success.

Required Skills
At least 8 years of IT experience on system / application development teams
At least 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master
Hands-on experience managing the agile process in an industry leading ALM tool (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira), including producing Agile metrics / reports.
Experience and willing to support testing functions, including:
Writing and reviewing test cases
Assisting others with testing as necessary
Driving test automation adoption
Experience performing Business Analyst tasks, including writing user stories
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience working closely with executive level customer management

Desirable Skills
Certified Scrum Master, or similar industry Agile certifications
Experience working for federal government customers
Experience working with Microsoft Cloud technologies, including the Power Platform and/or Dynamics 365, is highly desired
Experience developing performance metrics and status reports using Azure DevOps data, dashboards and Power BI
Experience establishing testing frameworks and processes for large scale IT programs
In depth experience creating test plans, test cases, and performing hands-on testing of IT applications
Knowledge of automated testing frameworks and tools
Judicial/Court experience
