Funnel Leasing Inc., is hiring for a Quality Assurance Manager that can 'work from anywhere' in the U.S. The Quality Assurance Manager (“Manager”) is responsible for supervising and ensuring execution of the software development and production process to make sure that all products meet consistent standards. The Manager will develop and implement quality control tests, inspect products at various stages and write reports documenting product issues. The successful candidate will be able to successful monitor and manage multiple high-priority client portfolios, has experience managing dispersed, remote team members, and has a strong technical acumen. This position will report to the SVP of Engineering.

The Quality assurance Manager's essential roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:


QA Leadership

  • Define and institute quality processes and standards within software development teams
  • Act as the internal quarterback, marshaling resources to deal with major technology issues and coordinating with our account management team on external communication
  • Provide guidance and facilitate automated testing strategies and tooling across teams
  • Foster a collaborative approach to quality assurance and testing
  • Ensure quality best practices are defined and followed across all software development teams
  • Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Learns from best practices

Agile Process Execution

  • Oversees monitoring of all QA activities, test results, leaked defects, root cause analysis, and identify areas of improvement
  • Implement steps requiring process and efficiency
  • Identify resourcing and skill gaps and create mitigation plans
  • Coordinate test efforts across multiple sprint teams
  • Work with developers to make hard-to-test features more testable
  • Collaborate with leaders in Engineering, Product, and Support to create process efficiencies across the SDLC
  • Create quality metrics to assess ongoing application health
  • Create productivity and quality metrics for analysts to promote continuous improvement

Education, Work Experience and Certifications

  • Relevant Bachelor's degree or equivalent, related experience.
  • 5+ years of software/SaaS quality assurance; experience testing all layers of software application, back-end and integration testing strongly preferred
  • Ability to manage and influence through persuasion, negotiation, and consensus building
  • 2 years minimum supervisory experience within matrixed teams
  • Analytical and process-oriented mindset
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with Jira or similar case management/ticket solution
  • Familiarity with remote, dispersed team management
  • Passion for building outstanding teams and creating an environment where individuals can do their best work.

Travel: >5%
