How you will get to help us do that in this role

A software Quality Assurance Analyst at BuildWitt significantly impacts our software products by owning product quality and driving improvements to quality that our subscribers will benefit from. The Quality Analyst will systematically analyze delivered software features for defects and diligently manage the resolution of found bugs. They will engage daily with the product development team, create test plans and cases for new features, help inform estimates of future work, and become a product subject matter expert for internal stakeholders.

What you will get to do day-to-day:

  • Test the latest and greatest software delivered by BuildWitt’s development teams
  • Think strategically about testing approach, technologies, and processes to leverage the best tools for the job at hand
  • Protect our users from software bugs by helping discover and resolve defects before they reach production
  • Be hands-on and ready to get dirty! Work with test data make non-production API calls, and maybe write a script for tasks we do way too often (like setting up test environments!).
  • Work with the software development team to estimate the delivery of new feature concepts and enhancements

The skills you possess:

  • Troubleshooting, investigative and research skills. You have the ability to collect information using a variety of tools and sources
  • Azure DevOps Test Management, or other test management solution
  • Organizational skills to compile and maintain detailed Test Suites and Test Cases
  • Familiarity with software applications and their architectures to triage, test, and document defects effectively
  • Familiarity with NoSQL and relational data and databases, and tools to interact with them such as SQL Management Studio, SQLPro, Azure DataStudio, T3, etc.
  • Familiarity with APIs and data exchange technologies such as SOAP, REST, JSON, and XML. You have called APIs before in code or with tools like SoapUI or Postman.
  • Familiarity with UI technologies including browser tools for desktop and mobile web

  • 2+ years experience in software QA roles
