As Director, Quality & Automation at Bullhorn, you will lead the charge of improving the overall quality of Bullhorn’s large suite of SaaS products. You will be defining and improving our quality processes and practices, and you’ll set the team strategy for leveraging test automation to dramatically improve our speed and confidence in releasing software. You will also improve and grow our ability to leverage load, stress, and performance testing across the organization.

As Director of Quality & Automation, a typical day might include:

Developing a strategic vision for our quality processes and best practices throughout the organization.

Improving our QA velocity and increasing our value to effort for quality.

Defining the critical elements of an automation framework that allows us to easily and repeatedly test our software.

Curating and driving a roadmap to develop and improve our automation framework.

Coaching and mentoring quality practice leads and team members to improve their methods and continually leverage more automation.

Create guides and training materials to coach QA team members in using automation tools more effectively.

Defining and gathering metrics to determine success across QA, Automation, Engineering, Practice and Operations teams, and leveraging those metrics to continually improve

Collaborate with leaders across engineering, architecture, and product teams to define and continually improve quality.

Define software standards to ensure our software is designed for testability and teams understand the best practices for unit testing.

Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to improve CI/CD integrations providing engineers with immediate feedback when things go wrong.

Create and cultivate community of practice discussions and improve our overall culture of quality

Engage in RCA and Bug Review processes to help identify testing gaps and help the teams learn and grow from our mistakes.

Build and improve team culture and ensure all team members have a sense of belonging and a clear path for success.

This job might be for you if:

You have 10+ years of experience in QA Engineering for large scale SaaS products

You have 5+ years of experience leading QA teams

You’ve earned a BS in Computer Science or a related field.

You have guided teams through the creation and utilization of automation frameworks that lower the barrier of entry for adoption.

You have experience implementing and guiding testing across accuracy, scalability, load, duration, and performance.

You have a deep technical understanding of test framework trade-offs and best practices

You understand how to integrate levels of automated testing into the software build and deployment processes.

You have a solid understanding of testing software both front end (Angular.js, React.js), and back-end (REST APIs, Java, .NET, etc.) components.

You understand how to test for security and compliance.

You have strong communication skills, both written and verbal

You’re willing to take a high degree of ownership in driving projects through to a successful completion.

Bonus points for:

Hands on coding experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks.

Experience in defining practices and standards across a variety of diverse, global teams.
