Dexcom is seeking a data-driven individual with experience in data management, data analysis and design assurance to provide leadership, support, and active participation in the development and continuous support of Data initiatives.
This position ensures that the data driving projects is reliable, and the processes are very well established. This role works very closely with many different cross-functional teams like Data Governance team, Data Architects, Data Scientists and other organizational representatives. Responsible for creating processes to ensure high data quality and compliance. Also responsible for supporting mitigation and remediation of data quality issues, working with data stewards and business user teams. Ensures quality computer integration into the overall functions of scientific computation, data acquisition, and processing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Analytics, and Data Science teams to implement projects and workflows to ensure that data is accurate, complete, standardized, secure, and accessible to meet business user needs.
  • Develop, mature, and enforce data quality guidelines, processes, constraints, regulations and requirements through tools and technology
  • Build cross-functional processes and establish stakeholder alignment through data quality best practices to ensure projects and operations support MassHealth business priorities.
  • Collaborate with Governance lead to develop KPIs & SLAs
  • Conduct data quality reviews against KPIs as per policies
  • Work with Data Stewards to maintain KPIs
  • Design and conduct trainings for Data Stewards on policies, processes & tools
  • Lead the risk management activities
  • Define or identify potential compliance gaps and assess new regulations against existing or new software and computer systems.
  • Experience querying databases for ad hoc reporting and analysis.
  • Support internal and external regulatory audits, and other quality assurance functions.
  • Participate in engineering requirement, design, and testing reviews.
  • Participates in process improvements and supports on-going business goals and objectives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Graduate degree in statistics, computer science or related field.
  • Experience in data governance, operations, data management, data quality assurance analytics, product management or consulting.
  • Proactive self-starter capable of providing thought leadership, strategic analysis, and project management skills across the full range of data analytics, governance, and programmatic contexts.
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully building and developing a team, plus informal influence in a highly matrixed environment.
  • Superb written and verbal communicator, ability to lead meetings confidently and effectively, and will create high-quality work product with minimal guidance and rework.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge and experience with SDLC processes along with software development methodologies such as Agile Software Development, Waterfall Model, etc.
  • Software Quality or Engineering experience in Requirements Analysis, Design/Development, Product Integration and Test
Desired Qualifications:
  • ASQ Certified Software Quality Engineer (CSQE)
  • Cyber Security experience
  • Experience working with Cloud based infrastructure and systems that process, store and distribute large sets of data continuously.

Functional Description

Debugs software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for company products. Develops, modifies, and executes software test plans, automated scripts and programs for testing. Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures. Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software. Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action. Consults with development engineers in resolution of problems. Provides feedback in preparation of technical appraisals of programming languages, systems, and computation software. Ensures quality computer integration into the overall functions of scientific computation, data acquisition, and processing.

  • Possesses advanced knowledge of technical principles and theories. Recommends solutions in support of functional objectives tied to overall company objectives and strategies.

  • Demonstrates significant technical expertise, collaboration with others and independent thought. Anticipates potential complex problems requiring an in-depth evaluation. Demonstrates strategic thinking and commercial/industry understanding in functional projects.

  • Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  • Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other colleagues.

Experience and Education

  • Typically requires a Bachelors degree in a technical discipline, and a minimum of 8-12 years related experience or Masters degree and 5-7 years equivalent industry experience or a PhD and 2-4 years of experience.
