Senior Product Manager - Learning Technologies

This is a full-time, virtual/remote position in the United States and associated time zones.

Coding Dojo is seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager to join our Learning Management System product team. You will be responsible for leading the Learning Management System team on product design and development, gatekeeping product roadmap, and strategizing to help solve business problems. Additionally, you will provide ancillary support to other learning technologies, such as our Student Information System and CRM, to ensure the LMS operates effectively.


Be a strategic participant in the organization and drive the Learn product:

  • Drive the creation, execution, and analysis of the platform to increase student learning outcomes and reduce friction for instruction staff
  • Lead and manage a Product Roadmap with input from business intelligence and R&D, directly aligned to meet and exceed strategic business goals
  • Continually analyze bug reports, user feedback, experiments, and competitors to understand user needs, synthesizing those into recommendations for product development
  • Prioritize solutions with a buy-versus-build mentality, seeking out and vetting 3rd party integration solutions
  • Orchestrate phased product launches, ensuring deadlines are met by engineering & product teams
  • Ensure all product requirements drive toward the goals of the platform and business
  • Weekly, report out on key metrics, including but not limited to, team efficiency, student satisfaction scores, feature adoption success, and reduction in bug reports

Own and drive process and documentation:

  • Support team in building, managing, and implementing Product Feature Development processes (discovery, design, dev, QA, test, launch, test, iterate)
  • Support team in building outstanding documentation, communication, and transparency for easy understanding by multiple stakeholders. This includes but is not limited to product release notes, feature documentation, and handbooks.
  • Track and monitor all bugs, using that as a data point for product improvement

Lead the team:

  • Break down complex problems into simpler component pieces to facilitate execution.
  • Collaborate with designers, engineers, and other internal team members to drive the implementation of the Learn vision.
  • Create collaborative team environments, reducing the knowledge gaps between designers and developers
  • Support initiative to reframe Learn team as the core product team instead of a team of execution

  • Manage a product to budget and time, while remaining innovative
  • Improve efficiency of a product team to deliver results and continuous improvement
  • Remain current on competition and integrate industry best practices
  • Inspire the team to execute flawlessly against both the long-term product vision and current priorities
  • Self-manage and engage in team culture while working remotely
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues
  • Manage an overseas development team
  • Effective judgment and interpersonal skills
  • Effective communication skills and ability to liaise seamlessly between functional teams

Minimum Requirements

  • 5 - 7 years of experience in technical product management, preferably in education technology
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Previous experience at a startup preferred
