Precise is looking for a Software Developer with experience in strong systems, software, cloud, and Agile experience, to support a complex program to provide Agile development and operations and maintenance for critical systems in support of the program.
This position is remote, working standard East Coast hours. This is an excellent opportunity to join Precise at a pivotal growth point.
In this collaborative, hands-on position, you will work with your Precise team, other companies and federal employees to architect, design, build, deliver, and enhance highly available, scalable, real-time systems. In partnership with your team, you will determine and recommend the best designs based on customer business objectives, timelines and other resource constraints. You will participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle including scope and work estimation, architecture and design, coding and unit testing.
A qualified candidate must have or can attain a Public Trust clearance. FDA experience and/or an existing Public Trust clearance is ideal.
- Proven experience with design, develop, test and deploy in your current and previous experience.
- Understanding of software processes and methodologies and ability to speak intelligently about them.
- Experience with DevOps frameworks
- Knowledge of software design patterns
- Proficiency with common Agile practices, service-oriented environments, and better development practices
- Proficiency with Agile management tools such as the Atlassian suite
- Must have the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance, at minimum
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience with the below is desirable but not required:
- Apache Solr, Angular, Spring / Spring Boot, Java, Hibernate, JPA, Mongo or Postgres, Jetty, Microservices, Openshift, Gradle, Maven, Ant, Junit, Bitbucket, Cucumber, SonarQube, CI/CD pipeline, Jenkins, Git, Cloudwatch, Jira, Confluence, Eclipse.
- Experience with content management systems and experience with responsive and adaptive design·
Typically requires BS degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 - 10 years of prior relevant experience
May possess a certification in technical domain
