The position you are applying for is an office-based role. However, during the COVID-19 pandemic and until further updates, this role will be remote-based and you will be supplied with the relevant equipment to carry out your role. For logistic purposes, candidates will be required to live around New Orleans, or the client’s location to be embedded in their office. Once we have further updates, we will cascade accordingly and return back to the office once safe to do so!

About the role

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Adhere to company security procedures and escalate perceived breaches to supervisor

  • Adhere to company security procedures and escalate perceived breaches to supervisor
  • Apply and comply with company policies and procedures and enforce them
  • Assist in Test Design and Test Case Creation when required
  • Attend monthly mentoring and goal settings sessions with Line Manager
  • Complete assigned tasks accurately and thoroughly, and within a specified timeframe
  • Ensure that client briefings, Testronic process and general best practices are followed by all Technicians.
  • Inform Supervisors of any issue that may slow down, stop – or improve – testing progress as early as possible and pro-actively communicate to internal and external stakeholders accordingly
  • Line management of QA Technicians
  • Perform staff evaluation of testing staff in the monthly ‘Tester Evaluation’ system
  • Assist with preparation of data and presentation slides for client meetings and reviews
  • Support Project Leads in the Appraisal process for your direct reports
  • Take ownership of tasks or projects under supervision of Project Coordinator and/or Project Lead

TYPICAL DAILY TASKS (NOT EXHAUSTIVE)

  • Lead and guide the team on assigned tasks and/or project
  • Professional communication with clients on areas of ownership, as defined by supervisor
  • Keep track of and communicate staffing requirements and absences
  • Keep track of overall progress, metrics and noteworthy findings on assigned tasks and projects
  • Perform Bug Vetting in line with established processes
  • Prepare daily reports and other deliverables as requested
  • Create, maintain, and update coverage checklists as directed
  • Perform testing duties as and when required
  • Validate time monitors for testing staff on your team in iDocs

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

Proven experience in a QA environment as a Technician.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Use of standard business software applications (e.g. Microsoft Office)
  • Experienced using a variety of different bug databases
  • Familiarity with console, mobile, and PC setup and settings
  • Familiarity with a variety of online test management systems
  • LQA: Familiarity with a variety of online text databases
  • Knowledge of and experience with QA submission requirements testing (compliance)
  • Ability to provide rationale and justification for requests

  • Clear communications skills (verbal and written)
  • Capable role model for QA technicians
  • Ability to multitask effectively while under pressure and to deadlines
