Project Manager, Software Development

Founded in 2019, iBynd is a growing Insurance Technology company with headquarters in Englewood Cliffs, NJ and employees across the United States and Canada. The core of our business is built around providing Cyber Insurance to small and medium sized businesses and individuals through our proprietary platform that is connected via API to many large insurance carriers. We are a collaborative team that works hard every day to make sure our platform offers insurance that will protect our customers.

Who we are looking for:

The Project Manager of Software Development position is ideal for someone who is a master at process, problem solving and making sure our project management is world class. The perfect candidate will possess the unique ability to understand coding & timelines while balancing business objectives, needs analysis and be able to work with a team across multiple time zones. The ideal candidate will be also be able to read Object Oriented Code.

Responsibilities:

  • Help plan, implement, design, project manage and support the development and launch of high volume enterprise solutions for Insurance Technology.
  • Familiarity with Bit Bucket, Mongo DB, Java, Angular and Dev-Ops build pipelines.
  • Work with the Operations and Technology teams and their leaders to make sure that all projects are properly designed and the timelines are in line with company directives
  • Test, challenge and make sure that the technology and products we create are done, fast, efficiently and correctly.
  • Close daily interaction with the COO and CTO to manage and help execute all of our projects

Requirements

  • 4 Year College Degree (or the equivalent)
  • 6+ Years working in technical operations as a project manager
  • Time management skills to keep the project(s) on time and on budget
  • Extensive experience with all phases (requirement analysis, software design, implementation and integration, testing, deployment and maintenance) of software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Experience in coordinating releases and user stories among product teams, developers and QA teams in order to effectively plan releases, perform sprint planning sessions as well as manage defects among various release cycles.
  • Must have experience managing feature and user story streams split out among multiple releases whereby each release is developed and tested in different environments simultaneously. Emphasis will be placed on this.
  • Understanding of GIT and dev-ops pipelines where release branches and builds are tied to different testing environments. Must have extensive working experience in coordinating the integration and development among front end UI teams, backend teams as well as QA in an agile environment.
  • Project management experience using one of the following platforms: Rally, Bugzilla, Jira,Trello and Monday.
  • Seasoned and professional communicator
  • Knowledge of industry standard software best practices, development lifecycle processes and Agile and SCRUM methodologies

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Insurance or Financial Services experience

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
