Basic Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Agile experience preferred, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

GDMS has an immediate opening for a Senior Systems Engineer to join our team. The position provides an opportunity to develop the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation's fundamental defense services. GDMS employees work closely with esteemed clients to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions. The selected candidate will work with collaborative teams to troubleshoot issues and develop solutions to be communicated to various GDMS customers and clients. Key Responsibilities:
Senior Systems Engineers analyze, develop and test GDMS systems to ensure the integration of software, hardware, reliability, maintainability, safety and other requirements in the total engineering effort. Other responsibilities include data analysis, troubleshooting various issues/failures of equipment and formulating solutions to said issues. These individuals will need to have strong communications within a functional team as well as the ability to communicate with various levels of management/clients/customers. These individuals may also be asked to document troubleshooting plans on both new and fielded systems and/or provide evaluation and test support to ensure all technical features are functioning properly. A basic understanding of electrical diagrams as well as physics is beneficial in this role as well.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Exercise creative thinking/ideation to advance our business performance
  • Strong domain knowledge in an engineering field to support troubleshooting/evaluation efforts
  • Advanced diagnostic/troubleshooting skills to support failure analysis
  • Ability to work within a strong fundamental team environment
  • Experience with MATLAB (preferred) as well as LabVIEW
  • Ability to read and comprehend both mechanical and electrical drawings
  • Motivated self-starter, and strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to comprehend technical documents and interpret testing limits and requirements
  • Support and engage in programs, projects and practices behind the GDMS culture and strategy, and comply with all policies and procedures
  • Follow industry and department trends and developments to ensure GDMS services are consistent with, and/or superior to, industry best practices

What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering or Physics is required (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree. Agile experience preferred.
  • Solid knowledge of systems engineering concepts, principles and theories
  • Solid knowledge of requirements management and system modeling tools
  • Familiarity with technical standards

Minimum Salary: USD $82,000.00/Yr. Maximum Salary: USD $92,000.00/Yr. Salary Note: Note: The compensation information listed is a good faith estimate for this position only and is provided pursuant to the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and Equal Pay Transparency Rules. It is estimated based on what a successful Colorado applicant might be paid. It assumes that the successful candidate will be in Colorado or perform the position from Colorado.
