This position will be jointly a part of the UC Irvine campus (Departments of Informatics and Emergency Medicine) as well as the UCLA campus. The applicant will help lead an initiative to provide digital tools to help public health and policy organizations solve important societal problems, such as opioid overdose, crime, and poverty.

This is for an academic position, where the researcher is required to have excellent research experience, including evidence of prior published manuscripts.

  • Developing the AI software/models/tools that mine social and behavioral data and provide feedback/maps to help public health and safety officials (requires experience in data science).
