CALSTART has an opening for a highly motivated candidate to join our team as a Web Developer on the Marketing and Communications team. This position will support the Digital Communications Manager with creating, monitoring and maintaining websites and webpages as needed by CALSTART programs, projects, and initiatives.**
Additionally, the Junior Web Developer will:

  • Review and update existing web-properties owned by CALSTART
  • Keep CALSTART web-properties up to date with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Increase knowledge of website coding languages, options, technologies nd the tools that will asset in performance of this responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with Branding Team, marketing and other internal stakeholders.
  • Manage and collaborate with any developing contracts or external contractors

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Web Development, Computer Science, and related field or relevant work experience in other related fields or equivalent years of experience
  • 2 years of experience with coding and building web assets
  • Experience with using WordPress and other web management tools
  • Strong project and time management skills
  • A proactive, solution-oriented approach to problem-solving
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree with internship experience
